He needs summer daycare and they meet and start dating, etc. She falls in love with both dad and daughter. Then his baby momma decides they need to be a real family and he chooses her over our girl. Our girl finds she is pregnant, and her landlady is spying on her for her parents who are controlling. She changes jobs and moves and has her act nicely together. Of course the jerk ... oops I mean hero ... comes slinking back for a do over.
Hopefully someone knows the name or author for me. I was telling my sister about it a while back and she wants to read it now, but lost the note she wrote herself. Of course this was pre Goodreads for me, so I don't have it listed.

Why is it, the more books I read the taller my tbr stack gets?

Yes!!! That's the one, thank you. Now if I can just find my copy.
EDIT: Thought I'd read it on KU and one clicked, but it's not listed in my purchases, actually it's no longer listed at all. Did a quick check and found it under a different title. New title has both Hide and Seek and the 2nd book in the series. I didn't even know there was a second book. Live and learn.

Whoot! Glad I knew one. I did not like the book though. I read the reviews for the second book and I was like, "No, just no". Please post your review if you read the books. I'd love to know your opinion.

So Many Books I read the first book a while back and did a quick re-read when I found it again. At this time I have no interest in reading the second book. Maybe some rainy afternoon when i do a random book pull.
As for my thoughts on the first book.....post here or in reviews?.....here for now I guess. There were parts I really liked and parts I hated. I really loved the heroine, the tstl hero/zero not so much. (Okay, okay. Not at all) The kids were cute and I loved that there was a day care setting.
What kind of wuss is he. His first relationship did not work out. He finds a girl who adores both him and his daughter, and who his daughter adores right back. He starts a relationship and sleeps with her and then because his ex wants to play house herself when she finds out. Pushing our girl to the side, he goes back to the previous relationship without nary a whimper. Does the full relationship thingy seemingly with no thought to our girl. (Alluded to later, but yuk). Only when that doesn't work out does he show up on our girls door, after waffling several months before doing so. Not only that, he brings his daughter with instead of approaching her privately. Unfortunately our girl caves way too fast. Imho this guy is just too back and forth. Wish she had made him grovel and beg just a bit or at least insisted on waiting until he went and got his wishy-washy self tested. Instead its 'oh it's my turn again. Here's your son, isn't he cute. Hold him while i pack my house' And the ex is a piece of work. She was okay with status quo until someone else comes along. And then she has to show up right before the wedding...couldn't come a day earlier or wait a day? Uhg!
For me this was one of those books where 1) the story line stuck in my mind and 2) As long as she is happy, i can live with it. Hopefully he doesn't spend the rest of their lives being a stupid wuss. (Probably why I'm not wanting to read the second book. I don't think i could handle anymore waffling.)

Exactly how I felt about it also! I truly hated this book.
