1. The Warlord by Elizabeth Elliott 2. Once And Always by Judith McNaught 3. Season Of The Sun by Catherine Coulter 4. The Ground She Walks Upon by Meagan McKinney 5. Lions And Lace by Meagan McKinney 6. Secrets Of the Summer Night by Lisa Kleypas 7. A Savage Betrayal by Lynne Graham 8. The Spanish Groom by Lynne Graham
What do these have in common? All of the heroes are crazy in love with their heroine. They are obsessed, protective, possessive and jealous.
I've only been reading romance for a few years. It will be hard to pick five, but here's my list for now. Subject to change on a different day.
Dragon Prince by Melanie Rawn Annie's Song by Catherine Anderson MacKenzie's Mountain by Linda Howard Gabriel's Inferno by Sylvain Reynard Broken by Nicola Haken
I'm going to leave it at these three for now. I'll chew on this for a few days and some some more later.
ETS - see, this is why I needed to leave it for a bit. How could I have forgotten The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie. Thank you Tangerine. I remembered another one too.
The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase These Old Shades by Georgette Heyer Dreaming of You by Lisa Kleypas Puritan Bride by Anne O'Brien The Bride by Julie Garwood
I've read those books many times over, they're comfort reads for me. I also love listening to audio books and with the exception of These Old Shades and Purtian Bride, I have the audio versions as well. Highly Recommended 😊
I love audio books too but I don't buy them because they are so expensive. I borrow them from the library if they're available. I'll have to look. Unfortunately, my library doesn't have the best selection but sometimes I get lucky.

Hi Tangerine,
Have you listened to the audio version? The narrator does a wonderful job of Ian's ' voice' .. loved the Scottish brogue 😊
No, I don't have any audio books. But that sounds like one I might like to try. I always worry that an audiobook will ruin it for me if the voices don't match the way I hear them in my head. So, a very positive recommendation helps get over that worry.
If you like historicals, The Bride by Julie Garwood ... as you can see by my previous post is one of my all time favourite books .. is only $1.99 and if you buy the kindle version you can then purchase the audio for about $7.00 . I've purchased quite a few audio books this way
I love audiobooks, I listen to them while I make my soaps, they also make the chore of housework more bearable 😊.. you're right though, the narrator can ruin a good book so it's important to listen to the sample first. I have all of Jennifer Ashley's 'Mackenzie ' books in audio and am listening to The Stolen Mackenzie Bride at the moment .
One of the best audio books I've listened to is Lord Of Scoundrels - that narrator absolutely nailed it, the male/female voices were perfect IMO.
