I'm looking for a historical romance novel I read a couple years ago.
Heroine is head over heels in love with a man from her village. They are engaged and she's preparing to marry him (they were engaged for years / she was waiting for him).
But then suddenly, she discovers he's already married (he got a girl pregnant and was forced to marry). The whole situation leaves her humiliated, ashamed and heartbroken.
Hero has known and loved heroine for years but because of his cold upbringing and her feelings for another man he kept his love to himself. When her wedding plans implode he offers to marry her to save her reputation and in return, she'll give him an heir (he's a lord/duke/count). IIRC her mother pushes her into agreeing to H's offer because not only it'd save good family's name but also hero is MUCH better catch than her cheating ex-fiance. Heroine is totally oblivious of hero's devotion to her. He is her brother's best friend. I remember that she wasn't eager to marry him because he was cold, aloof and very "Mr. Darcy" type of man.
