I'm about to start reading Seduction of a Highland Lass by Maya Banks. I know that she has a terrible track record when it comes to releasing books but I really was in the mood to read this book. When she's on her game she writes very well.
I love that book. It's one I have read a few times, along with Never Seduce a Scot by the same author.
It's my favorite Historical by Maya Banks. The first time I read it I cried so much. I've read it so many times that a few of the pages are starting to get loose. As as matter of fact I had to stop reading the paperback so I could glue the pages back in and I switched to my e-book.
I'm trying to reduce my backlog, so I have too many books going at once.
A private gentleman is not the usual kind of historical, but it's kinda fun. An opium addicted stammerer and a whore with flashbacks that make it impossible for him to have sex hit it off. The characters are pretty awesome, but sure where the plot is going yet.
Teacher Wanted: I'm not usually a ABO reader, but the plot lured me in. A big burly guy who is sweet at pie but who's pragmatic boyfriend would prefer someone more dominant in the bedroom, so they hire a Dom to coach them. I really like the characters, even though the failed spanking scenes was cringeworthy to an extreme(purposefully so). But I noticed it will have MPRG, which I'm usually not a fan of, at all. But we'll see.
I also started Prince of the Playhouse, but I'm not far along enough to say much yet. But I couldn't resist Ru, I liked him in the other books.

I'm making my way through the Lost and Found Series. I just finished books 2 and 3. I almost don't want to start the remaining books because I don't want the series to end! I'm taking a short break to reread This Heart of Mine by Brenda Novak. I am not big on rereads but this is a book I always come back to. Love it more every time.
I just finished reading Amada Quick's Mischief and enjoyed it, although I wouldn't pick it as one of my favorites of hers. Next, I'm starting The Lady Chosen by Stephanie Laurens. I'm surprised I haven't read this series yet, but it's kind of nice to read something for the first time that I'm pretty sure I'll like.

I think her Highlander and her Montgomory and Armstrong series are some of her best work. Now if she would just write that promised third book ..........

I agree, Mischief was kind of meh. I'm excited for you, just staring the Bastion series. It ends with Mastered by Love - one of my top five romance books ever.
BTW - there is a kind of prequel to this series called Captain Jack's Woman. You might like to read it too.

When we downsized and I no longer had a room filled with bookcases (along the walls and back to back in the middle of the room) I kept about 1000 books, Captain Jack is one of them.
Be careful what you wish for, it might just come true.
This morning, I finished Long Drive (Theme Song Book 1) . I was drawn because it has a trucker H. It wasn't really my cuppa, but I can honestly see how other readers would like it. One of my GR friends gave it 5 stars, I gave it 2. It's on KU, so give it a try if the blurb appeals to you.
Tonight, I am starting When Darkness Follows (Beyond the Grave series #4). I have enjoyed this pnr series, and I'm really picky about pnr. Book 3 is my favorite so far. The series is on KU, but I also purchased books 1-3 and they are lendable if anyone is interested. Books 1 and 2 should be read together because they are about the same couple and continue the same storyline. Book 3 stands alone.
I finished rereading Madame's Deception last night. I wasn't sure what to read next. Then I was looking in the "What was the name of that book??" thread and found what to read, or reread, next. That book is Just Wicked Enough by Lorraine Heath.

I really don’t like the h in this one. Oddly enough i liked The book itself though. It’s sad she never did a book 3

I didn't like her at first either. But I can understand why she acted the way she did. I did love the H, Michael, though. He's the reason why the book is a keeper for me. I really wish LH would finish the trilogy. I want to know what happens between Jenny and Alex. I'd even be interested in reading a story about Kate and Jenny's brother, Jeremy.
