Hi,
So dragons live in clans based on their color. It's a series. In one (maybe the first) of the books, a human (from earth) woman marries the (I think) black dragon lord. They have a bunch of eggs. In the book I am thinking of, one of those eggs is stolen by (I think) a green dragon. The green dragon lord and the cousin of the black dragon lord work together to find the egg. Because the mother is from earth, she made a mistake when the eggs were fertilized, which means the egg has to be found within a certain time frame. Each color clan has a "power", the greens' power is poison.
