I just finished Wild Blood (Cyborg Shifters Book 1) by Naomi Lucas. It's pretty dang good. The H is a cyborg who shifts into a weird spider type thing. He resists falling for the h for about 50% of the book. He doesn't want to trap her to a "monster". Once they are together, she's his.
This is available on KU.

There are more, but I have to find them all again.

I tried reading this and I only got through the first chapter. It didn't catch my attention. I may try to read it again this weekend.

This H was a beta H imo and I tend to struggle more with those type off H's too. This H kept pushing the h away, tried to get her away from him, avoided her, etc. I hate stuff like that. I want my H to be OTT crazy about the h and be super possessive. The "mine" mentality works for me. Beta H's, quite frankly, bore me. The only reason I was able to push past that was the spider thing. It was so weird that it grabbed my attention. I hadn't read a book with a H that shifts into a spider-thing. Ever! (& I've read thousands of books.) It was so dang creepy that I kept right on reading and ended up enjoying it.

The only authors above that I've heard of is Ruby Dixon. I need to check out the other authors.
You should try Anna Carven as well. I devoured all her books in one weekend. My hubby was quite put out. LOL. That's our only alone time. My kid's are at their dad's Friday - after school Monday.
I wish I knew who to thank for recommending the Deridia series by Catherine Miller, starting with Mercy(Deridia Book 1). I thought they were very well done. I think I liked book three, Thrall, the best, but they were all great reads. KU, if anyone cares anymore, lol.

Could you give spoilers or more details please? I have been looking at these and I am undecided whether to read them or not.
md - I couldn't reply to any post by mid-afternoon yesterday. I logged on, saw the banner and that was it. I could no longer post. I had zero notice other than what other wonderful posters posted.

Hi Dennie! Spoilers for the Deridia series by Catherine Miller:
The books are set on an alien planet. Humans crash landed there many years before the books start, and we aren't given much info about them, because the h's don't know much, and it's mostly from their point of view. Each book has a different human heroine, and each H is a different kind of alien species.
I liked the way the enormous differences were dealt with, and the misunderstandings were reasonable. I really enjoyed the way the author made me feel like I was getting to know both the H and h.
Was there anything in particular you wanted to know?
