I just received a 2 chapter teaser from Mariana Zapata for her new book due out hopefully next week, From Lukov with Love. It turns out its about the ice skating sister (Jasmine) of the the h (Ruby) in Dear Aaron. It had me laughing in the 1st chapter. Looking so forward to this book!

I'm fairly new to Lisa Kleypas. I really liked the Hathaways. I tried the Travis Family series, but I was quite turned off by Sugar Daddy. The next two were better, but not something I'd seek out. She writes HR much better than CR, based on my sampling.

secretromancejunkie,
I couldn't get into her contemporaries either, whereas she's one of my favourite HR authors. Have you tried her Wallflowers series? Cam from Mine till Midnight first makes an appearance in The Devil in Winter. DiW has my all time favourite H.. Sebastian, Lord St Vincent.
Anybody else excited that JD Robb's newest Dark in Death is out tomorrow??
Ever & always, BB! You know I count the days on a Robb! I also have a Lauren Dane Whiskey Sharp: Unraveled and a Laura Lee Guhrke The Trouble with True Love: Dear Lady Truelove releasing tomorrow but you know which one I'm going to dive into first! The problem will be telling myself I can't start it with the download at midnight; otherwise, I'll be up all night reading!

Lisa Kleypas is the reason I got into Historical romances. The Hathaways was a great series. I couldn't get into her Contemporary series either. One of the major reasons is because they were written in 1st person. I'm so used to reading in 3rd person that the books seemed off to me. If Sugar Daddy was written in 3rd person I would've liked it better. I'm glad she went back to writing Historicals but I think taking five yeas off changed her writing a bit. I don't like the Ravenels series as much as her earlier works.

So far the only book of hers that I've read (other than the Hathaways and the Travis Family) was Worth Any Price - which I loved. I will definitely be adding more of her books to my TBR pile.

Well if you liked Worth Any Price, then you'll like Lady Sophia's Lover. It's about Nick's sister, Sophia.
