I have laughed and laughed with this book. Until the last like twenty (maybe thirty) percent when things took a less comedic turn. This book has a boss/executive assistant fake relationship (engagement) trope. The book is ridiculous from the unrealistic work dynamic (from two people who have know each such a short time) to the way they handle certain situations. So in order to enjoy this book you have to leave all work ethics in a nice dark closet.
The two main characters are attracted to each other from the start, though since they were burned before they do not admit it nor do they act on it until something prompts them to start a fake relationship. And then all clothes are off.
When we get to the last part of the book you want it to go back to how ridiculous it was, but there is a natural progression that the more serious parts of the book make sense with the story.
I rarely laugh out loud with romantic comedies, I am the kind of person who has to be looking at the person telling the joke or in order to laugh or really understand the joke. This book was had it all pretty obvious to me and I really enjoyed it.
