This CR had some humor but was a mixed bag. I gave it 3 stars.
I labeled this on GR as "hero-as-jerk."
Jack gave Elena a mixed message on commitment. He used the "you're mine" possessive speak.
He was younger than his stated age. The author showed sexy times, but needed more romance
and depth. Jack appreciated the h's outside package and sexy clothes. But what about the rest?
Jack needed to get over his unpleasant self. Why do romance 'heroes' use the sadness or anger
from their pasts, to justify their current grumpiness and rudeness? Could Jack's millions make
up for his selfish ways? I thought his male bestie Devon clicked better with Elena, and was more
perceptive of her moods, needs and wants. She needed to throw over her rich, grumpy Ken doll
for Devon?
