Waste of Handsome (CW#2) 4 stars
This had sexiness, but I liked the couple better out of bed. It was emotionally satisfying.
MLB shortstop Jack's female squeeze wrote a tell-all book. The team owner charged the team's PR lady Hannah
to help repair his image. Jack thought Han not his type, until she was. These two spent more time together
creating a + media blitz.
Han arranged charity fundraisers to support Jack's fav charities IE MADD, also giving him & fans + interactions.
Both MCs carried emotional baggage R/T their dads. Jack went from a serial monogamist to a man crazy in love.
The shared emotions were the best.
Once Removed (CW #3) 2.5 stars. This was a 2nd chance story.
Cal, a retired MLB 3rd baseman, left baseball after an injury, and now worked in banking. Cal and Barbara had been
college sweethearts. He did everything to accommodate her after a life-altering event. Both now divorced, they reunited.
This story re-hashed too much.
Twice Barb (1x in college, 1x 15 yrs later) accused Cal of putting his pro baseball career ahead of her. I liked him better
than her. Surely at 34 she knew how to compromise? The ending felt incomplete.
