SOLVED: Hero's kid let's the heroine's dog out on purpose and the dog gets hit by car

The ex-wife told the kid how she was allergic to dogs, and how just being around the heroine's dog would hurt her etc etc etc. So the kid lets the dog out. Heroine is angry and lets the kid have it.
