If you like old photos, have you ever browsed the Library of Congress digital collections? I can easily get lost down the rabbit hole on there. Library of Congress
I've not gone diving into the picture collection, but I do spend some time (not as much as I'd like!) helping to transcribe materials for LC. It is a volunteer opportunity without leaving home (Hooray--pre-pandemic...) This year I've been working on speeches, notes, etc from the early women libbers! I was working on Susan B. Anthony mostly for a while; need to get back in there!
"Join the Crowd: By the People Transcribe, review, and tag digitized images of manuscripts and typed materials from the Library’s collections. Everyone is welcome to take part! All transcriptions are made and reviewed by volunteers before they are returned to the Library’s website. These transcriptions will improve search, readability, and access to these handwritten and typed documents. crowd.loc.gov/campaigns-topics/"
Scallions/ green onions will never be the same for me. Not because of where to store it but because of my husband. I asked him for spring onions (to make a breakfast casserole I wanted to try) and as he searched for them (because he didn't want to ask for help) at the market he calls me and says he didn't find any green onions but that he had found scallions...

Well, he gets an E for effort. 😃 (what did you do with the scallions?)
LOL, he tried, LOL! agreads posted a breakfast casserole recipe, egg free, and for new years day I made it. quite tasty actually and my father in law enjoyed it.
But used the scallions on an egg omelet. Made baked potatoes and used the last of them there.
I actually keep my green onions in a glass mason jar, with a bit of water. (Going back to how to store the green opnions) I dunno but that's the only way they last longer for me.

Thanks for sharing this! I was literally having this conversation with a few of the bridesmaids for my best friend's upcoming nuptials. I started remembering my own journey into the search for the right dress.
When I was trying on wedding dresses, I was looking for the one that really called to me but I also went and tried on these really non-traditional dresses. (I will stay away from the word ugly) As a bride that had a non-traditional wedding 'dress' I can only say that I steered away from the traditional.
I had mines tailored to me in the end, this is something very similar to what I wore at the dinner reception we held the week after our signing of the marriage certificate at the court. (I wore something else on the day we got married.)
Here Mines had no beads. I wanted something simple, so that when I wore my grandmother's jewelry they would be the center of attention. (a bib necklace and its matching bracelet and chandelier earrings.)
My best friend is making her own dress, and she's off to the non-traditional as well, going for a yellow wedding dress. Something like this
