The first is a romantic suspense.
The h is a police detective. She and the H are partners and are on a missing person case.
I think there are two brothers -one is working undercover on his own.
Their mother is either the mayor or police commissioner and the brother thinks she was/is working on the take.
( Really the book is more suspense than romance because of the subplot - but I still enjoyed it).
Anyway everything climaxes with what is a plot to disgrace/ kill the mother.
I think there are separate books about the brothers but I didn’t read them.
The second book is an old contemporary romance ( Harlequin/ Silhouette I think).
The h meets widower dad on a plane to Hawaii. It’s a set up by his sister / h’s hairstylist friend.
H doesn’t tell h that he has children. She finds out when he brings kids to her shop for haircuts. Supposedly she can’t
have children. She had been married ( I think ex dumped her because she couldn’t conceive). She had tests and the only part of the results she read was she she couldn’t conceive - not the reason. (I believe the reason she was her body rejected the ex’s sperm
Anyway she’s ok about H’s kids. The family of h embraces H and his family and yes, h becomes pregnant!
