HR Hero plans to ruin heroine (financially) cause he hates the woman she inherited money from

I think the lady inherited money from her aunt, or her employer. Hero blames this woman for driving his mother back to her native Spain, leaving him with his horrible father. So, after this woman dies and leaves everything to heroine, he decides to ruin heroine. She loses money on some scheme because he recommended it to her.
