The Penitent and the Suffragette is an old fashioned novella length period romance about an older couple. 

The Story:
Isabelle Beaufort wasn’t about to let anything come in the way of her ambitions. She was done with marriage and all of that nonsense and certainly didn’t believe in any love and romance. Being a wealthy widow gave her ample freedom to dive into her cause, that of Women’s Suffrage, but when an old friend of her husband’s comes along and uses his influence to get her out of jail, where she intended to protest alongside her long-suffering mates, she is more than angered, she is furious!
