I saw a Tik-Tok of this and thought it would be something fun here as well.

What's is the romance trope you and your partner/spouse fall under? I'll go first:

Opposites Attract, grumpy/sunshine, some angst and trauma (falls under emotional and psychological scars) , and finally friends to lovers.

(he's the sunshine even though I tend to look at the more positive side of things, lol!)

mine would be insta-love, a friend brought my husband over to keep me occupied while he made out with my roomie (January 20th), we were engaged the next month (February 16th) and got married August 22nd. Marriage lasted 63 days short of 50 years.

BTW he was born in the USA, moved to Canada in 1966, moved to the Northwest Territories in 1967. The odds of us meeting in Edmonton in 1970 were very much against us.

Mine is also an insta-love. He had an appt at the medical facility where I worked. Turned out his sister also worked there and I'd known her for years. The three of us were having lunch that same day. That was April of 1986 and we were married by October of 1986.

I just finished watching North & South, Books 1-3 on video. In real life, James Read, who played George (from the North)
married the woman who played his wife Constance in the series. This actress eventually became an attorney.
In real life Jonathan Franks (bro of George) & Genie Francis (from the South in the show), married to other partners in
the series, married for real.

I love these, age gap, insta-love can also fall under soul mates/fated mates too. Two souls recognize each other from another time/life and just knew there was no time to waste.

JaniceC that sounds amazing and so many years together, it was meant to be. But I am curious did the roommate marry the one who brought your husband to keep you entertained?

The reason I ask is because two college mates of mine did something similar, but one married the other one did not.

no, Val and Joe did not end up together. Actually that night was the demise of their relationship.
