Stopped @ 45%.
I wanted a sexy read. So read the novella and saw how Jake & Rachel hooked-up. This involved no
names exchanged sex. This book started 2 months later. I stopped reading, then started again.
Got to about 45%.
The MCs were both sexy, he was a 6'3" NHL pro hockey player. She was a beauty with the perfect bod.
And tats. She was a MD, 2nd year resident, who wanted to work in sports medicine. She was turned
down for a medical fellowship & then was selected after the #1 choice had an accident. Her assignment?
A NHL expansion team, the Rays, in Jacksonville. Once they met, the players called her "hot doc."
One of the players, Jake, she knew from 2 mos. earlier. She told Jake- a personal relationship was out.
Jake texted her a topless photo & she did likewise. Jake's bestie, Caleb was briefly in the NHL & sustained
a career-ending injury. He became the equipment mgr for the Rays. Caleb concluded he was gay, but he
told no one. He had a crush on Jake.
Jake, Rachel, & Caleb had 3-way sex in a storge closet at an event. These 3 decided to all live in Jake's
beach house. Jake had questions: how would this work? Sometimes Jake & Rachel? Caleb & Rachel? all 3?
Yes. Jake & Caleb? Jake did not consider till he did.
This story had too much talk of sex or actual sex. Rachel claimed to love both men. Actually lust? After
Rachel as MD suspended huge goalie Mars for 2 games, due to an injury, Mars had to kiss her. She kissed
him back. When they had a beach party, she & her bestie, Tess wore bikinis. Most team members attended.
Rachel had a right to choose her sex partners, but did she have to be entranced by attractive men? Could
she say no to herself & to the man? She came across as superficial and immature. She put her fellowship
in danger by her behavior? She had poor personal boundaries & blurred the lines between her professional
& personal lives.
I guess I am old-school, I wanted more story & less sex.
