Now it might be just my old age but I vaguely remember having a wish list on Amazon and one of the options was something along the lines of reduced in price? Am I misremembering?
I recently set up a new wish list for Ebooks I'm not willing to spend over $4.99 on and the Filter and Sort doesn't have it as an option.
Be careful what you wish for, it might just come true.
JaniceC, used to be we could search for the phrase they use to show a price change & get the ones in the wishlist with that phrase, helping us to find the price changed ones. But they did away with it ages ago, bless them! Now it only searches the author or title fields. It does still have the sort by high price or by low price & I do use those but it's not as convenient as the old one. When I talked to a c.s. rep about it; they didn't even understand what I was talking about. But then the training they get re how the system works seems to be pretty inadequate, or maybe the workers are... Sorry!
And even when you do sort by price, some books remain in the same position they had prior to their price dropping. So, you need to cast your eye over the whole list.
Amazon originally had a sort function for “price drop” and eliminated it years ago. You can still search for “dropped” in your wish list. Depending on the length of your list and the device, RAM, etc…you may have to scroll through to the end of the list before you search. As kareni said, the pricing sorts (high, low) that Amazon offers are pretty useless. A few months ago I noticed that if a book is part of any of the listed Deals (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) then it will not be labeled as a price drop. It’ll have a Deal tag. So you’ll also have to search for Deal.
I never understood Amazon’s reasoning behind getting rid of the Price Drop sort. I mean, why even offer WLs if you can’t see any sort of deal. I guess they kept them for registries and we get the scraps.
