Cliveden (a viscount) lost heavily at cards with Langley (an earl). Cliveden drowned
himself in the Thames. His heir, William, was unclear how to settle this debt?
Robert Stone, Earl of Langley was bored with women, his friends, his life. Tall, slender,
unconventional beauty, Amelia, posed as William, to meet Robert. She wanted to settle
the debt. He knew she was not Wm. He proved his cold nature & lived up to his moniker
"Stoneheart."
Amelia reacquainted herself w/ wealthy merchant, George. She thought him too chatty,
too much of a dandy and unable to safely guide his horses. With time he proposed, she
accepted, she determined the wedding contract, & her solicitor finalized said contract.
Robert had a mishap & insisted his married sister, friend Lucas & h accompany him to the
country, for his rehab.
Robert was 32 & Amelia 20, but with time they clicked. They grew closer in the country,
both had smarts, humor, excelled at chess, and were mostly calm. William matured in this
story.
Robert had way too many uninvited guests in the country and this added to the humor.
