Once Upon a Townsbridge Story by Sophie Barnes. Georgian short story.
England 1788. Had 86 pages. Gave this kisses-only story 3 stars. I liked the hero better
than the heroine.
Margaret & George had preconceived notions of each other. He was heir to a viscount.
Their parents wished a match. The heroine called George a rake and too old IE 11 yrs
her senior. She overheard a convo George had w/ his sire and she made assumptions.
The MCs each wanted a happy marriage as both sets of parents were unhappily wed.
George suggested a 3 month courtship & the MCs agreed. Meanwhile a suitor Margaret
initially thought pleasant, became obnoxious and did not take a hint. MCs fell in love.
Ending was abrupt. Doubtful I'd read more of this series.
