Small Town/Contemp Western - anything & everything chat

I love small town and/or contemporary western. And I've read a couple of good ones in this last little while...
ND Jackson's Best of My Love though I could've done with more of a grovel from the hero, while he felt appropriately scummy on occasion, he really wanted to just skate over what he did and shove it firmly in the forgive-and-forget-and-get-over-it-right-quick camp. I'm really glad the heroine held onto her anger about it, and I loved that HIS mother did too!! That was perhaps some of my fave stuff about it, she wasn't going to gloss over it coz he was her precious golden child. I'm also partway through her It must Be Love (Mustang Prairie series) book as well, and really liking it so far.
One of my absolute faves in this sub-genre is the Country Roads series by Shannon Richard. You really really really should read this series ladies. it's GREAT!! Starts with Undone and the most recent one just came out last month. Not a dud in the bunch. Kinda has a feel of a blend of Kristen Ashley (the small town set up with truly well fleshed out lives & backstories and friends & family, and a decent length long read), Marysol James (the emotional feels and the third person writing style) & maybe even KC Lynn (the angst though perhaps without quite so many root-ratty/near-or-full-on-cheaty type heroes). And yep, KA, MJ & KCL are some of my faves in the contemp romance genre too.
