I think Judith McNaught had some sort of personal problem, illness or death in the family. That's been a few years ago. Dallas Schultz, I have no idea what happened to her or if she's writing under a different name. I use to enjoy her books, years ago. 🎃
ETA - I'm sure someone here will know!

I miss Judith McNaught and Dallas Schulze does anyone know what happened to them?
I also really liked several book by Dallas Schulze. I found her website, but I couldn't find any personal information about her there. According to the Fantastic Fiction website, her latest book was published in 2004. Another author who seems to have dropped off the map.

When I first started reading HR I discovered Patricia Pellican but I don't think she's writing (or alive) anymore.
BB, I discovered her a few years ago. My favorites are Creole Captive and Sweet Seduction. According to GR she's still alive and her latest release was in 2016.
Yay! I'll have to check that out. Thank you, josie. 🎃
(Talk about bodice ripper covers!)
You're welcome, Banana Boat. I'm not sure if her newer books are HR. They may be contemporary. And those are certainly bodice ripper covers. Since we have a thread about awful book covers maybe we should have a thread about best bodice ripper covers. I'm sure there are some real great ones out there.
I remembered another author, Rosemary Rogers. Her last book Bride for a Night was released in 2011. It seemed liked there would be another story, with two secondary from that book, would be released. But nothing came of it. I haven't heard anything about her since. I know she was getting up there in age, but she just seemed to disappear.

Sarah McCarty started a series called Hell's 8. In 2012 she released book 6. Since then she has only released two books, one of which was book 7 of the series. I just noticed that the final book will be released on November 28th and she's started a new series. Woohoo, she's writing again!
Sometimes your fav's come back to writing. If you're lucky.
I checked out Sarah Mccarty's webpage: she's keeping it up-to-date, but also mentions that she's started a page in Youtube as it's easier for her to update. #8 of the Hell's 8 releases next Tuesday; there will be a 5th vol. in the Promises series (HOORAYYY!!!) next Sept., and she has two other series running: Highland Burn: Graham is available, and something about The Others series; book 2 is due in April. Sarah's webpage address Oh yeah, I knew I was behind on hers; now I have an urge to go reread the Promises....

She is still alive per her Wikipedia page, however it give no info on if she is still writing. She is 84 now, so I don't know if she still wants to write.
