On the Line by Victoria Denault, NHL pro IMO, H too rigid (& dad too bossy) & h too emotionally fragile. He had only one gfriend before the h (unbelievable to me).

mlover - Thanks! 3 of these were free so I one clicked and 1 I already had. If you haven't already posted in the Free thread I'm going to, hope you don't mind.
They call him the second coming. Of honor for British football. Of God in an athlete’s body. Of every English woman’s fantasy.
Jude Davies is my country’s prodigy on the pitch. More famous than the nobility in Buckingham Palace, he and his merry band of scoundrels rule the Rogue Football Academy and the London nightlife scene alike.
And now, he’s aiming his well-honed set of skills directly at me. His devilish charm is lethal, but with the tragic hand life has dealt me, distractions like him aren’t an option.
Plus, we’re only playing a game. One of convenience, where he needs me to save his reputation, and I need his money to save the one person I love.
Until he wraps me around that immoral finger. Until I crave that reckless, wild high he provides. Until I hope for a future that will never happen.
That’s the thing about going toe-to-toe with the next football legend. He’s faster, stronger, and will destroy me every time.
Presley 'Elvis' Carlton was at the top of his game. Number one draft pick, engaged to an up-and-coming model, and voted best player of the decade his first year on the field.
Things were golden. . . until an accident saw everything important torn from his grasp.
He’s determined to get his life back, though, and with a strict regime, and no time for a life outside of the game, the last thing he wants is the attention of a curvy college student whose only motto in life is to not take it too seriously.
Can an Australian expat show the struggling sports star there’s more to life than the next win? Or has Willow Underwood chewed off a chunk of man-meat too thick for her to swallow?
Just Playin’ is a standalone sports romance RomCom that will give you all the feels. It has sexy scenes and several laugh-out-loud moments. This is not tied to any of my other books, and can be enjoyed by itself. AKA: No cliffhangers!
e wants out of the friend zone…she doesn’t believe in happily ever after.
Relationships are not in Lauren Gentry’s playbook. The only kind she’s willing to consider are friends-with-benefits and even a red-hot and sexy hockey player like Dave Martin isn’t going to change that. Right?
When those chocolate brown eyes threaten to melt her defenses she has to remind herself that demons from her past could rise up at any moment. Which is going to be pretty hard to do, since she loses herself every time they touch.
Dave used to love the benefits that came easily to professional athletes; especially when they were in the form of puck bunnies who only wanted one night. But when he meets the pint-sized girl with bewitching green eyes and sun-streaked auburn hair his outlook suddenly changes.
He wants forever with Lauren. Now he just has to convince her.
Can Lauren risk everything for the man she’s secretly been falling for? Or will her past stop her from taking a chance on love?
Have you heard the rumor around campus about the locker room?
If you haven't, let me enlighten you: Legend has it if you bring a girl into the sacred after-game domain of the baseball locker room, it will end with a walk down the aisle. One rowdy and naked encounter against the lockers with the girl of your dreams will make her your wife.
Translation: baseball players are stupidly superstitious and believe the locker room has magical powers.
But not all baseball players are superstitious, me included.
So when the girl I've fallen for brushes me off, I start to question if I need to switch my way of thinking. Maybe it's time I finally hand out a coveted invitation to the locker room.
Sometimes scoring off the ice leads to the greatest rewards.
I’ve had only one goal in life since I first strapped on a pair of skates—make America’s pro hockey league.
I left Denmark. I made it to the top. Now, I’m determined to be the best. No distractions. I eat, sleep, and breathe hockey.
Until my birthday when my teammates convince me to live a little. But living a little takes on a whole new meaning when less than a year later I’m confronted with a crying baby on my doorstep, drooling on a note that declares he’s mine.
Suddenly, I'm a single dad in way over my head. There is no playbook for situations like this.
Luckily, I have Paisley. My gorgeous neighbor, my long-time crush, and now—my savior. She’s there any time I need her. Helping. Guiding. Gazing at me with those green eyes that make me feel capable of this after all.
With her at my side, I’m quickly learning there’s more to life than winning a hockey game.
Small warning, the heroine at age 16 had a huge crush on the hero, then 19, and she tried to seduce him (I haven't gotten to full story since I just started the book) and he was 19 and really only thinking with his lower head. Nothing happens it does get stopped and they haven't seen each other until now (all grown up) and they are forced to work together due to circumstances. So far it's been an okay read, and seems like it's going to be a quick read.
