book series that ended before you were ready for it

I'm with the two of you on your choices. I'd have loved to have both Suzanne Enoch's series and Charlaine Harris's series continue. I've never read the Maggie Needs an Alibi series. 🎃

The series I regret the most is the Julian Kestrel series by Kate Ross. Not a romance, it a series of mysteries set in the Regency, with a brooding outsider hero with many secrets. There was a slow burn romance building. I loved all four books. But they were building to something, and Ms. Ross passed away tragically young, so we will never be sure exactly what it was building to. Still, they are excellent books, starting with
