[solved] ISO H's Irish family owns restaurant by boat dock

I can remember this one scene from a book and it is driving me crazy. The H is Irish American and his family owns an inn/bar with a boat dock. He takes the h to meet his parents, and she has a kid who also goes along.  I think she is a musician and plays for the family while they are visiting. I remembered the scene while rereading Midnight Angel, so possibly this h plays the harp like Allegra.  I remember the kid being excited over seeing the boats after lunch.  That's all I've got at the moment. If anything else come to me, I will add it.
