After years of not reading romance I got back into it in 2005 and the book that started me reading romance again was Femme Metal from Ellora's Cave. The heroine was in her 40's who falls in love with an Alien.
Femme Metal by Natalie Gray
Welcome Tippi! I just looked for this book on Amazon as I've never heard of it and I couldn't find it. Bummer!
The author's name is Nathalie Gray. sorry for the mix-up. And thank you for the nice welcome.

No worries. You just made me curious about the book based on your description. I enjoy books with older h's.
FYI - I pulled up Natalie Gray's book list on Amazon and it isn't there. I know Ellora's Cave had some problems a while ago and I think they're out of business. She has probably renamed the book.

kareni - I love the cover. Is this a m/m alien book?
Yes, bibliowyrm beat me to it! It's a human/alien male/male romance. Do try the free Prelude to get a feel for the characters. The series is one of my favorite reads of the year.
....and yes I passed my test it wasn't hard but it still made me nervous, you can't survive without a license where I live and it's been sooooooo long since I took a written test it just automatically made me nervous
I've never read her Ariel MacArran books. I believed I looked at them, but they didn't appeal to me for some reason.
I went for seven years without a car, living in a neighborhood with no parking where I could walk to downtown and some of the best neighborhoods for shopping, restaurants and nightlife. I was a little nervous when I went to renew my license, but it was not a problem.
Sorry about the slow response. I saw your post about the Icehome release and I was outta here! Boy did that book ever blow my mind. I was a little skeptical at first with all those Earth ladies and not enough males to go around, but once again she did not disappoint.

lol no problem, and if I didn't drive everyday I would have been even more nervous.
I love IceHome too I can't wait for more of this series. I just love her blue men. I just finished her novella The Alien's Mail order Bride and I liked that one too. Hopefully we don't have to wait long for another one from Ruby Dixon.
Breeding Ground by Jaid Black. Also from Ellora's Cave.
I haven't read any Jaid Black. Can you spoil it a little? I am curios now.
Commander Alexandria Frazier and her NASA crew are sent back to earth to 100,000,007 A.D. Alex is taken prisoner by a reptilian creature and has to survive. Explicit sex. Very good sci-fi.
I loved those books (Warriors of Hir) when they came out, I actually got an ARC or Beta copies(I can't remember which since it's been a while) for books 2 and 3. I was so sad she dropped this series/ pseudonym. She writes most of her books as another name and I guess she dropped this one/series maybe it didn't do as well as her others. I remember JudyB(pretty positive it was JudyB) and I both tried to contact her since it had been so long since we heard from her but we never heard back form her. Which is sad because this series was really good.
Did you see that the fourth book in the series came out December 1st? Hidden (Warriors of Hir #4) ? Not sure why I never got an update on it, but it's out now.

Yes I did. I was trying to remember which thread I posted that on and couldn't remember. I actually saw this a few days before release. Thank you though
