Hi. I'm a long time lurker/never posted from the old site. So if I put this in the wrong thread please excuse me. Have any of you tried the new audible romance package? I saw it for the first time yesterday and added it to my subscription. So far I love it. I was considering dropping my audible subscription before this but the new package has unlimited access to thousands of romance audio books and it's really inexpensive. If you have KU or audible subscriptions it's just $6.99/mo. As a standalone it's $8 more. I'll probably drop my regular audible sub and go with just this package. It's got lots of the mainstream authors in the program but generally not all of their books. For example, some of Kristen Ashley but not the entire collection. I was really surprised at the extensive list of authors I already read (as opposed to KU which can be hit or miss for me). So far I've downloaded several that were on my wish list. I like to listen while I clean and cook so maybe a cleaner house will be a bonus
I have been on the phone with Audible for almost an hour now. I tried to sign up for the romance package at 6.95 but it doesn't show up for me and they are trying to figure out why, had me on hold for 10 minutes and just hung up on me. Dialing again.
eta: apparently my kindle unlimited membership doesn't show up on Audible for whatever reason so they had to call Amazon to confirm that I have one, then hung up on me and I am having to explain the whole thing to yet another person at Audible who wants to start at the very beginning. GRR.
I just had this conversation with the Audible.com rep. He asks for my email and billing address (full address which includes postal code) Several questions later: Him: Can I get your zip code? Me: V4N 5G2 Him: What? Me: Victor 4 Norman 5 George 2. Him: No I need your zip code. Me: that is my postal code in Canada. Him: Canada? Me: Yes. Where I live. Him: but what is your zip code. Me: (long silence). I have a postal code. In Canada. Where I live. Him: Canada? Me: Yes. Canada. (holding back the overwhelming urge to say, the big country attached to the US) Him: Yes< I see. Can you hold please. Still holding.

I'm sorry for your misery, but at the same time I'm giggling at your conversation!!! I'd ask for a supervisor who has half a brain. I'm still laughing!!
Update: They are unable to find my kindle unlimited membership even though I am looking at it on my kindle and the kindle person has confirmed I do have one. Nobody can tell me why but if I would like, I can sign up for a regular membership at 14.95/month and get the romance package for 6.95/month on top of that. Yeah, no. Great big no.

I have audible light and they have pretty much stripped all of the perks from that. It pisses me off so bad that I kinda don’t want to give them more money. I have GOT to look into this though. So the audiobooks are basically borrowed and returned? Is there more than the kindle listens or whatever it’s called with kindle unlimited?
I haven't run into anything about returning them and I've borrowed several so far. I'm assuming you keep them as with standard audible membership but I can't say for certain. You get way more choices than with KU's audio selection and better authors in my opinion.

I have borrowed several books from the program and have returned a couple as well. I listen with the Audible app on my iPhone. You swipe left on the title to get 2 boxes - Delete From Device and Remove From Library. Remove From Library returns the books. You can also return the books from My Library on the Audible website. There is a trashcan under the "Deliver To:" drop down box.
I have been a little disappointed that some of my favorite authors don't have books available, but that leaves me open to try books I haven't wanted to spend credits on. The ability to take chances without wasting money (or credits) was also why I got KU.
