The review in part said "goofy people with goofy names, doing goofy things." Huh? If she disliked A. Quick so much why did she read so many of her books?
The mention of Laurie McBain brought back memories. I read many of the early bodice-rippers in my teens. (Woodiwiss, Rogers, Blake, Taylor, Mason....) I was looking up Devil's Desire on Goodreads to see if I remembered reading it. I found the funniest review. The reviewer wrote a humorous parody that summarizes the book's events. It's worth a read if you have the time. It was a good description of the thoughts that go through your head when reading some of these crazy sagas. Scroll past the first section about Devil's Desire to her parody title: "MY MISUNDERSTANDING IS BIGGER THAN YOURS." Here is the link: www.goodreads.com/review/show/137460629?book_show_action=true
