The synopsis of any book serves a very important purpose. Not only should it briefly summarize the plot of the book, it also has to grab the attention of a potential reader. Writing a good synopsis actually requires some skill. I'm certainly not claiming it's easy or that just anyone can do it well.
However, sometimes they're just a little too OTT. I'm not a moron, so please don't treat me like one when you write the synopsis.
Got some funny, silly, melodramatic, badly written, or just plain funny ones to share?
To be fair, this synopsis only applies the "enhanced version" whatever the heck that means. The other versions don't have the mistake at the end or that last bit of OTT nonsense.
In Edge of Danger - Enhanced, a counter-terrorist operative in T-FLAC’s classified paranormal unit, the intrepid, handsome Gabriel Edge protects the world from the forces of evil by using his unique powers. When an ingenious and extremely volatile invention is stolen from a covert Arizona lab, Gabriel zeroes in on the brilliant young scientist who helped to create the device. Using mysterious telepathic power and his seductive physical charm, Gabriel must infiltrate Eden Cahill’s mind to uncover the secrets he desperately needs to solve the crime. But a centuries-old family curse puts Gabriel in a bind. For the only way to penetrate Eden’s memories is through one shared intimate encounter that will shatter lives, trigger revelations, and just might save humanity—at a terribly price. He’s hot. He’s handsome. He’s saving the world.

Maybe I'm just too cynical, but this just made me throw up a little. He sounds like a real gem.
One dirty Russian, coming right up. I’m a billionaire virtuoso. My hands are magical on and off the stage. That’s to say nothing of the finely tuned instrument between my legs. Life’s easy when you’ve got more money than God. A new girl every day of the week. Endless, panty-dropping charm. Until Little Miss Innocent walked through my office door. She’s my new personal assistant, untouched and unconquered. I want to be her first, her everything. To make her sing. There’s just one problem... She’s not who she says she is And the truth’s going to break more than her heart.
But if this sounds like you're cup of tea, then go for it! Adagio

Can I just say uh.... no. This definitely doesn't sound like it would be my cup of tea. This blurb certainly isn't going to entice me to buy this book.

I've read this a couple of times. I'm still not entirely sure I understand it....
I'm also posting the cover in the bad book covers thread. There is so much going on in that cover it just has to be seen. Skybreaker
Sky Breaking seemed like a useful course, but its usefulness lay in the amount of credits that would count toward Imara’s degree. Once she is in the course, she meets the only other student, and they strike an unlikely friendship. Kitigan is a seer who has an interest in farming and apiculture, weather magic is part of that peculiar parcel. After a series of classes that turn into tests, Imara is happy to head to Kitty’s farm for a weekend away from school, and Mr. E wants to head out and ride some sheep. Everybody has something to do, including the trespassing werewolf pack that just moved in next to Kitty’s family farm. Imara has to walk the fine line between guest and defender while taking her Death Keeper skills for a spin. Her weekend is anything but relaxing.

This Christmas, I'll unwrap her box, for the very first time.
My new, younger assistant jingles all my bells. She's curvy, innocent and submissive. What I want for Christmas is her tied up under my tree. I know she's perfect for an arrangement that suits my needs. And suddenly working over the holidays doesn't seem so bad. I didn't anticipate falling for her like snowflakes in winter. Because that's not something I do.
But now, every time we're in my office, my heart feels as exposed as her body.

Holy run-on sentences batman! Has this person never heard of punctuation? One True Mate
Graeme made his way to Serenity for one very specific, hopefully-deadly reason, but a few friendly wolf shifters on the Serenity Police Department almost made him reconsider his centuries-old death wish. His body, however, remembers it well, acting upon it when he is unable.
Heather Herrin has just received news that threatens to change everything for her, but when she sees a half-naked beast of a man in a hospital bed, he takes center stage in her thoughts, giving her some relief. Until he runs hot then cold so often she almost gives up on him, having no way of knowing he's someone that will make her entire life make sense.
Are Graeme's reasons for turning down what he thought he'd never be blessed to have enough to keep them apart? Or will Heather manage to break through his walls in time to save them both?
BTW - Also am going to post the cover on the bad covers thread.
I'll find the bast@rd who did this to her! Fighting fires is my true love. Tried marriage once. Sh$t didn't work. Single for life is my new motto. Until I find my neighbor, Scarlett, unconscious. Smoke clogging the air, fire crackling all around. So fragile. So beautiful. Seeing her broken unleashes the animal inside. My desire to protect her is in overdrive. Now, I have a new fire to put out. I'll save her. And destroy the fu@ker who did this.
I've read this a couple of times. I'm still not entirely sure I understand it....

Haha.... Nothing like sky breaking, riding sheep and werewolves to really sell it. I find it amusing how many tropes/themes authors throw into books these days. I started a freebie the other day which had vampire in the title. As it opened there was discussion of a curse by Merlin and had a very sword in the stone type scene. The H was thinking about how he just wanted to enjoy time with his MC club. As he was riding away from the ritual he started growing hair including a beard which is when I decided to DNF. I definitely dont need to read a ridiculous book that is a mixture of arthurian legend, vampires and a MC club with a hirsute H. Yuck.
