It is a rock star romance. The H (who is a member of a rock band) has a family friend who he uses as a fake girlfriend to discourage groupies and other women from approaching him. He gets interested in a woman who owns a popular restaurant but keeps his fake girlfriend to hide his relationship with her from the public. The fake girlfriend is in love with him and causes all sorts of problems with his real love interest but he is clueless and doesn't do anything to stop fake girlfriend. It eventually causes the h to leave him.

I went through last year's KU list trying to remember the title of this one. Did the rockstar dedicate a song to his true love intending to bring the heroine up on stage but the OW wanabe/fake GF jumped up on stage to thank him and the press went crazy? Not finding the title but still looking.
