The best of the fabulous book covers

Nalini Singh writes a series called Guild Hunters. I'm not giving too much away when I say that the h of several of the books (Elena) is turned into an angel to save her life at the end of book 1. But she's so fragile compared to her lover (Raphael) who not just an angel, but an archangel. Through the books she gradually becomes stronger. She grows into her position as Raphael's consort.

The covers show this transformation. Not only is the artwork amazing, but look at her wings and how they become larger and stronger as the stories progress. Not only that, the representation of her weaponry is spot on. Exactly as it is described in the books.  




BTW - book 1 has a HFN ending. Book 2 and 3 have them reaching a balanced relationship and book 3 is very much an HEA. The remaining books just extend their story.

I ❤️ This series. I never Paid attention to the growth of Elena’s wings. Thanks for giving me something else to love about this series. The foreign covers (i think German?) are beautiful as well.

sakuko  Drawn covers make sense. You don't have to settle for a model who's "close enough". The artwork can be commissioned to exactly match the story. Maybe these artists even took time to read all or part of the story. I'd at least like to imagine that they did.

The cover of Drawn Together, the male with the long hair reminds me a lot of the character from a Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Duo Maxwell.

all of Darcy Coates covers seem to be really atmospheric and haunting. I like them and am now off to find The Carrow Haunt cause that sounded good!
