That's what Smashwords does. When Kristen Ashley first started publishing it was via Smashwords, and I kept buying her books through them for ages because they offered the ebooks in epub (and they had no location restrictions) - which is my preferred format - coz back then I had a kobo reader, which only accepted epub (or pdf). Even now, I have a tablet with Moon+Reader installed, so still prefer epub.
I've never purchased a book from Smashwords nor even visited their site. I'm sure I've heard of them but it just didn't register in my head, lol. I'll have to check them out when I have some time. I love finding new indy authors. It's like this little present. What am I getting here? Oooo it looks so pretty! I hope it's as pretty on the inside as it is on the outside, lol.
