I'm rereading a bunch of stuff on my kindle because we're camping right now. I went through the entire Cyborg Seduction series and now I'm on book three of the Zorn Warrior series (all by Laurann Dohner). But at the same time, I'm still working my way through the McCloud Brothers series by Shannon McKenna. I'm reading Fade to Midnight (book 7) about the long lost twin.
BTW, I'm in book buying heaven. My older daughter and I spent an hour in one of my favourite used book stores. I only get to visit this one when we're on vacation. You know it's a good store when there is a resident cat. (this cat is named Gatsby) Later this week I get to visit another one, and it's across the street from a cupcake shop. How perfect is that!?!?! I generally find 20-30 books in each store to add to my collection. Now I need to come down with a cold so I can spend a few days in bed reading

secretromancejunkie - I've read the Cyborg and Zorn series and enjoyed them too. I especially love Dohner's New Species. (Oh speaking of New Species, I heard she's writing another one. Yay!)
Sounds like you're having fun. I love used bookstores too. Your right, we know it's a good used bookstore if it has a cat. 😀 Books and cupcakes? Sounds like a perfect place. Lucky you!

The men in this series are very alpha, very possessive and very protective. They are suspense/thriller stories. There is always a very, very bad person gunning for one or both of the main characters. They are often on the run. Often get captured and escape by the skin of their teeth. Think organ pirates, mind control freaks, Mafiosa crime lords and their crazy thugs.
There is never any cheating. There isn't any OW drama. Sometimes there is a nasty narcissistic parent getting in the way, but never for long. The couples tend to be together for the majority of the book unless one is being rescued by the other. Most of the books have a fair bit of very explicit intimacy.
This isn't my preferred genre. But these books are so intense, so compelling that I simply can't put them down. McKenna writes extremely well. They are long book, usually 450+ pages, but never boring. This is my third time reading most of the books in this series.
One important point. IMHO, many writers of this genre allow the romance to suffer in favour of the suspense plot. This is not the case with these books. The romance is equally as intense as the suspense.
I recommend reading this series in order. The over arching story is important to the character development and some of the books depend on that more then others.
I'm really like this one a lot so far. The H is very j/p and the storyline has a Cassandra Gannon feel to it but not in an OTT, ridiculous way like Gannon can do at times.

Currently reading & LOVING,so far anyway - Pursued by the Imperial Prince (Imperial Princes Book 1) . The title says it all. I love books where the H pursues the h. Looks like this is lending enabled so if anyone wants to read it when I'm done, let me know.
