I took nearly all week (work life is a bit hectic right now) reading The Tyrant Alpha's Rejected Mate, nothing out of the ordinary I did enjoy it though and will recommend if you are looking for a paranormal quick read.
I also picked up Serena Akeroyd's latest book Filthy Secret- Five Points Book #6 by Serena Akeroyd I'm letting this series go, it's a family saga now and I am not interested in what's going on any longer. The writing is still good and the characters are too but the overall story just drags and little to nothing really gets resolved. I finished this one in two days though, it's just a little draggy for me now.
I delved into the monster romance and began to buddy read with my sister in law and picked up a Tiffany Roberts book Ensnared (The Spider's Mate Part 1 of 3) ladies I HATE SPIDERS and I will not go on with this book, I don't even know why I said yes to her... I had a nightmare of a human like spider when I fell asleep. No thank you, I will read about snake people, lizard people, octopi people (book club pick also by sister in law by Tiffany Roberts as well... sis in law loves a good monster in her romance.), Ann Aguirre's alien series where they are bugs, but SPIDERS! nope! I got my money back and purchased a dragon one Tiffany Roberts also wrote To Tame a Dragon.
I do have a couple of fantasy books I want to start as well, but we shall see how the next three days go, I'm behind on my holiday shopping and prepping. Fantasy books: Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, The City We Became by N.K Jemisin.
I finished reading Loving Lieutenant Lancaster by Sarah M. Eden. I hadn't read the previous books in the series, which made it a little tricky to figure out who was who at first. This book has quite a few characters. They all become easier to place pretty quickly and I enjoyed the story. Eden creates a world with interesting characters that you come to care about, besides the H and h's story. And everyone has a story. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, and would like to read the earlier books also if I can find the time.

Find the time, they were great and you will enjoy them. If time/cost limited then at least read Seeking Persephone, the first in the series, it is a favorite of mine.
Enjoyed reading Because It's Christmas by Katherine Shay, I have enjoyed a few of her books and this one is free at the moment but it is the second in the series. Needed something I knew I would like after picking a few duds that left me frustrated. Did get about 60% into The Promise but wasn't feeling comfortable with how the hero was treating the heroine, feel like he was taking advantage of her innocence. Didn't help that there is also a scheming nasty other woman and one scene left me feeling icky so I stopped, might return to it one day, it was well written.

Yes, I thought the story of Adam and Persephone would be good. I'm glad to know you liked it so much.
I just finished Lisa Kleypas' Devil in Disguise (yesterday), and this would be my favorite read for November. So good. Merritt is the heroine, who is the daughter of Lillian and Marcus, the MC's from It Happened One Autumn. Keir, the Scottish hero, is also a connection, but learning how is part of the fun of the story. Besides having Lillian and Marcus, we also see Evie and Sebastian, from The Devil in Winter, also from Kleypas' "The Wallflowers" series. Reading this book was like catching up with old friends. You would probably enjoy this book best if you've read the books about the parents, but it's still a great read, IMO.

I love LK books. I also really enjoyed the Wallflowers series, with Devil in Winter being my fave book. But for some reason, I just can't get into the books about their kids. The only one I liked was Devil in Spring and that was mostly because of Sebastian and Evie making an appearance.

I liked "Devil in Disguise" the best of the Ravenels series, although I'm not sure how it fits in although we do see Dr. Gibson-is that her name? and her husband. Sebastian is in this story quite a lot, which you might like.

I agree that I prefer the early historical series by Lisa Kleypas, and that the later books wouldn’t be as appealing without the references to the earlier characters. I did like Marrying Winterborne: The Ravenels, Book 2 among the later books that had to rely on the strength of the new characters.
'Tis the season for me not to get much reading done. I did finish Joanna Shupe's steamy romance, The Lady Gets Lucky which I thoroughly enjoyed. It's the second book in the series, and I plan to go back and read book one. Some characters in book one might be helpful to know before reading book 2, although not a serious problem to understanding the book. There are some words the male characters use that might offend, but they seem to fit the characters, IMO. I thought it was a bit unusual that food played an important part in the story, and it sounded delicious. Romance and food, there's a good idea.

I finished reading a book I liked a lot, A Reckless Match by Kate Bateman. It's a fast-paced enemy-to-lovers story, set in Wales, with hints about book 2 that I'm going to want to read.

I'm rereading The Boss series by Abigail Barnette that begins with The Boss (Warning: hardcore BDSM). I only reread books 1 - 4, because for me the series went off the rails beginning with book 5.
I'm so bad at remembering to post here or on GR what I read or reread. I'll try to do better this year.
I finished reading A Touch of Romance by Paullette Golden, which I enjoyed. The MC's are both very bright and obviously perfectly matched. Very enjoyable. The book also included some flash fiction, which I haven't read yet. I also finished Sally Britton's A Mistletoe Mismatch which I enjoyed but wasn't my favorite of her books. I wasn't crazy about the h who seemed to be a bit juvenile to me.
