It's book one of her Rescued from Ruin series. I really enjoyed it. I was going to jump to the other book in the series that I had bought, Confessions of a Dangerous Lord. However, I was intrigued by one of the h's brothers from book one
Josie, I checked; I have 5 of the 11 bks of this series and do have #1, but of course, the rest of the ones you mention, the following 3, not among the ones I have. Yeah, I'll mark #1 for reading & hopefully by the time I finish it, I'll be on next month's budget...altho' that looks to be as bad as this month's!
Problem also, I'm wanting to buy the Deveraux Velvet series in ebk as well; the print copies are almost 40 yrs old & not opening well at this point... And there are more titles in the Dragon Point series that I've not bought yet... Yeesh, the budget is in major trouble! (my comment to my budget & conscience!)
Josie You convinced me and I decided to read The Taming of a Highlander by Elisa Braden. Only half way through but it is an entertaining read, I really like the leading characters. Will probably get book 1 next (and if anyone is interested the promo code "partners" works for these books at kobo).

kc, I really enjoyed all the books I've read so far. But, of course, in the midst of reading book 4, I had to order book 5. I'll be getting that on Saturday. But after that, I'm not buying the rest of the series till next month. And since that'll be in a little more than a week, the wait won't be se long

bluebear, It was really good. I bought the third book in the series, but I'll probably end up buying the first book as well.
As part of a bingo challenge on GR, I reread Gone Too Deep (Search and Rescue Book 3) by Katie Ruggle. George is still one of my favorite "gentle giant" heroes.
I read two books that I disliked and then finished up with a funny, sexy, intergalactic romp. Annhiliation Road by Christine Feehan I found appalling. I’m usually Ok with bdsm but this wasn’t that. The H was into total control and figured as long as she was physically Ok things were fine.
Then I read More Than A Mistress by Mary Balogh. Since I liked what i have read of hers, I figured the book would be fine, and it would have been if she had resolved the conflict at the end. She hadn’t addressed the main conflict between the two and what resolution there was took place off screen. Maddening!
So then I read Accidental Abduction by Eve Langlais and thoroughly enjoyed it. The H and h were so much fun together!
I finished reading Down a Dark River by Karen Odden, and I have to say, I lost a lot of sleep because this book was unputdownable for me. One thing after another. Our hero Michael Corravan works for Scotland Yard, investigating a serial killer whose victims are young ladies. He also has other cases to work on, so he is busy. There are other interesting characters and lots of action. I really enjoyed it.

Took me a long time to buy Lies and Lullabies (Hush Note Book 1) by Sarina Bowen and then a bit longer to decide to read it, my reluctance was that I don't often like books with rock stars. So despite all the good reviews I kept ignoring this wonderful story. It's well written, I actually like this rock star hero and the developing relationship between the h and H was handled very well. Decided to get the next book in the series although it is written by someone else.
I'm still reading JAK/AQ/JC, but after rereading Perfect Poison, Burning Lamp, Fired Up, Midnight Crystal, and the Third Circle (yep, in that order so I was all over the place!) I decided I was still in the mood for some binge reading from her so I've actually opened one of the new titles that I'd not yet read: AQ's Close Up (Burning Cove #4). I'm enjoying it more than I remember enjoying Tightrope, which was #3 & may have been part of the reason I'd not gone on reading the new ones. I had trouble putting it down this morning but I had to get up & get moving as I had an appt. with H & R Block & some other errands. Plenty to do this afternoon but I may give in & read some more instead! I have a feeling I'll be moving on to Lady Has a Past (Burning Cove #5) and I'll be all caught up for when When She Dreams (Burning Cove #6) releases on May 3rd, except that currently that's when the primary is scheduled & I plan on working it...unless they have to reschedule because those idiots doing the redistricting of the voting districts are still dragging their heels after the Ohio Supreme Court told them to redo it because they were way too obvious in what they had submitted...I'd love to go to Columbus, gather the whole group up, plant their rear ends in the chairs & tell them they can't leave until it's done, not even for the bathroom! After them, I'd tackle the Baseball mess...nope, not going to attempt Putin--nothing will change that bully's mind!
I've been attempting to read Summer Campaign by Carla Kelly (available on KU). For some reason I'm having a hard time connecting with the characters so far, but I'm going to give it another try. It doesn't have the same feel to it as Marrying the Captain or The Admiral's Penniless Bride. I'm hoping it improves soon. I've been in a major book slump, so the problem could be me.
I've decided to reread the epic fantasy The Belgariad Series by David and Leigh Eddings, which begins with Pawn of Prophecy. I wish all of their books were in ebook format, but at least this series is. I have the others in paperback.
I finally finished Elisa Braden's Rescued from Ruin series. With the exception of one book, Ever Yours, AnnaBelle, I really enjoyed them. I mean, I actually returned it. That's how much I didn't like it. I rarely return books. So despite that, the rest will definitely be added to my keeper shelves. But first, I have to make room for them Out of the whole series, my favorites were books 1, The Madness of Viscount Atherbourne, book 2, The Truth About Cads and Dukes and book 7, Confessions of a Dangerous Lord. I have one more Elisa Braden book on my TBR pile but I'm going to take a break from her books for now. I decided on rereading Just One Touch by Deborah Mullins. Its been quite a few years since I've read it.
I finished a traditional Regency romance An Eligible Gentleman by Alice Chetwynd Ley, a KU. It is an entertaining story about two families, related by their mothers, and their friends. It's a sweet romance with a familiar plot, but still humorous and well-written.
I finished rereading the Debra Mullins book. I also just finished reading Rogue Countess by Amy Sandas. I enjoyed it. She's a new to me author. I heard of her through a Facebook group I'm a member of, Upturned Petticoats & Undone Cravats. So, when I saw that RC was free on kindle, I got it. She recently did a FB takeover on the page and was giving away a free autographed copy of one of her books. And I was one of the three winners! I rarely win something. I can't wait to get it.
