So, I got the ARC for this too. I wasn’t expecting it so it was a nice surprise.
Very good! I really liked it. I thought the pacing suffered a bit in the final 15-20% ish of their book and some of this happened during the book time wise so it kinda evened everything out. The pacing was excellent, the dialogue was good, and they showed real growth as a couple even though the timeline hasn’t advanced all that much. It was especially nice seeing Grady try to adjust to Max’s large, rambunctious family. It made for some funny scenes. Gabe & Dante make a brief appearance and I always like revisiting my favorite hockey couple.
Overall a win and I definitely recommend. 93 pages, $3.99 on Amazon but it’s $2.99 if you buy from Dreamspinner.
**While I guess this could technically stand alone, I wouldn’t advise it. Much better as an extended epilogue to their book, which I immediately reread
