I was going to start The Overlook by Mark C. Wade the other day, but got distracted by a reread. I'm starting this one today. I also borrowed Epic by Adrienne Wilder through KU. It has gotten good reviews so I'm looking forward to it.
Arrows Through Archer by Nash Summers. 5 stars. I loved this one. It's an age gap romance with two MC's who are recovering from grief. There is a lot of angst, but in the end the HEA was believable and sweet.
I have started M. Tasia - Boy's of Brighton series. Someone said it was light and fluffy insta-love type book and that's what I need right now. A perfect palate cleanser.

I read the first chapter on Wednesday and I haven't finished it yet. I haven't even gone back to reading it. It is just not capturing my attention. And I still haven't finished 3013: Claimed.
Falling ended up being just okay. It was kinda rushed--even though the Hs had know each other for several months, the relationship/book spans just a couple of weeks. There's a decent epilogue but still felt a bit incomplete.
DNF Curl Up and Dye I slogged through about 50% before I called it quits. Gotta admit I'm surprised at the ratings for this. --Numerous editing errors. Comma usage is especially bad. --Immature, name-calling heroes --Awkward sentences. There's some real clunkers in there. --Repetitive. Alternate POV and multiple scenes play out from both perspectives. --Blah sex scenes Just nope, nope, nope for me. I got book 1 as a freebie but I'm embarrassed to admit I picked up books 2 & 3 on sale too:(
Also read Murder Between the Pages, which was pretty good. Set in 1948 Concord, Massachusetts. Decent mystery novella with a small side of romance. There's a free Christmas coda on the author's website that gives them a nice epilogue.
Textual Relations Style and editing were okay and the story had a cute premise but still didn't quite work for me. Only one POV.
Unconventional Unique and interesting setting (ComiCon-ish anime event) but one H was too wishy-washy. Ending was a bit rushed but overall a decent read. I'd definitely pick up the author on sale.
The Curl Up and Dye series does not appeal to me because I read an m/f book that had a hair salon by that name. So when I saw the m/m series it felt like a rip off. I realize that is a stupid assumption, but my mind went there and now it won't leave.
His Convenient Husband Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Other than a fairly unique pairing (Russian asylum seeker & NFL player) nothing really standout. Just meh....
Have my eye on the new Garrett Leigh but not sure I'm in the mood for a YA. Finding Home Or maybe back to some nonfiction I have in the lineup.

Have you read Insomniac City: New York, Oliver, and Me? It's about the neurologist Oliver Sacks and his partner, Bill Hayes, who wrote the book after Sacks' death. I have had it on my WL since it came out but haven't read it yet. I keep hoping for a decent sale because it's 9.99 and my library doesn't have it.
I also have a bio of Oppenheimer I've been meaning to start.
Speaking of price drops, I'm waiting for Devil in the White City. It was briefly on sale a few years ago and I hesitated a little too long. Or Island of the Lost looks really interesting too.
It's always interesting to see what others are reading, isn't it?
