The Smallest Part by Amy Harmon

February was an easy pick. The remarkable Amy Harmon has done it again!! The woman is an author and a poet and her writing speaks to both my heart and my soul. This book is a clear favorite for the month and perhaps the year?

From This Moment. Man, I loved that book. Unusual historical setting (building of the first subway in the US in Boston), suspense, a bit of angst, a love story . . . *sigh*

I also really loved Frederik Backman's A Man Called Ove, but I'm sticking with romances for this list, so Moment gets the nod. The two together, though, made this a great reading month.

You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.

Lots of re-reads for me in February. For new books, I liked the little "Scenes from the Hallway" novella from Penny Reid that is essentially a teaser for her new book, so I won't count it. The winner of the month for me was Now that You Mention It by Kristan Higgins. Typical Higgins fare, but also typically solid.

Tough choice for March. Many very good books, nothing that leaps out as THE ONE. Romance contenders are:
The Ebony Swan
Someone to Love
When Tides Turn
The Lacemaker

Any of them would be a fine pick, but I'll go with "Someone to Love".

I guess if I had to choose a winner, I'd go with The Smallest Part as I feel that's the one I'm more likely to re-read. But besides that, it was a virtual tie.
