August was a disappointing reading month. I only read two books worth excellent ratings.
The first was in the Cynster series - On a Wild Night (4.5) The second was an old JAK - The Family Way (4.5).
There were a few honorable mentions Another Cynster book - On a Wicked Dawn (4.0) London's Perfect Scoundrel - Suzanne Enoch (4.0) Captured by the Highlander - Julianne MacLean (4.0)
Another month and another favorite book to add. I can't believe that it'll be October! I read a few good ones this month. It was hard to pick my favorite. The Kerrigan Byrne book narrowly beat out the Bronwen Evans book.

September had some really good books and some fairly bad books (all by the same author!).
The Ideal Wife by Mary Balogh, was the one I chose as number one. But really, Devil of the Highlands (Lynsay Sands) or The Wedding Night (JAK) could also have been number one.
The entire Web series (also by Mary Balogh) was a disappointment, as was Smoke in Mirrors (JAK). The T-FLAC Edge series (Cherry Adair) was pretty good.
As usual, I am having a hard time picking one book as my favorite as I was lucky enough to read several I liked a lot. I guess I'll go with The Matrimonial Advertisement by Mimi Matthews as my number 1 pick for September. A close second would be The Gentleman Physician by Sally Britton.
My choice for September's book is Roxanne St. Claire's Rough Around the Edges (The Dogfather Book 6). I really liked Aiden and how he wanted to honor his friend's wishes but also didn't want to hurt the friend's sister.
Just updated my post after several months' hiatus. This month's favorite was Wicked and the Wallflower by Sarah MacLean. I don't usually love historicals but I did enjoy the banter between the main characters in this one.

I'm reading that book and enjoying it as well, trinny. I still have to decide what my favorite book of the month is.
Not my best reading month, but I truly enjoyed Nora Roberts' Happy Ever After, so I'm giving that the nod.
Looking at the list of that Bride Quartet series, I see that I own two of them (purchased in 2010 and 2011) that I still haven't read! I will have to get the last two from the library, because I'm not paying $7.99 each for Books 3 and 4!
