Ms. D., I wanted to note that Hate Notes by Vi Keeland is currently on sale for $1.99, down from $3.99. (mjbett caught and posted both times this books was discounted, first back in February, and then when it dropped over the weekend).
I really wanted to draw attention to today's posts about Araneae Nation: The Complete Collection by Hailey Edwards going free (was $7.99 for the collection, and the individual books are currently $19.95 -- another posting by mjbett -- and also the post by virky that Daughters of Askara: The Complete Collection by Hailey Edwards has also just gone free. (I haven't read this book yet; the Aranaeae Nation Collection is Fantasy with romance, and I liked it a lot).
***** Not Romance (Children’s Books)***** The Hollow Land by Jane Gardam is $1.99, was $9.99 Whitbread Award winner. This is the one I’ve been waiting for to drop. It’s a collection of vignettes based on her childhood in the Cumberland. The Audio book is also good Here’a link to a blog review The Hollow Land – Jane Gardam | The Captive Reader thecaptivereader.com/2018/04/04/the-hollow-land-jane-gardam/
The closest I can get to conveying the “feel” of this book is to remind people who have read Dylan Thomas’s A Child’s Christmas in Wales of the mixture of both factual recounting with the experience of what makes a series of such events remain magical and significant to different generations of people throughout their lives. I’m pretty sure that this book won’t be for people who like a detailed plot line and prefer long novels, but a different group of people will really like this, and have favorite parts like the icicle ride.
Dark Horse (Class 5 Series Book 1) by Michelle Diener is free again, was $3.99 (KU) Absolutely get this if you don’t have it. This is a favorite read/reread

Fated Blades by Ilona Andrews released on November 23rd and is on Kindle Unlimited. It hit #5 on the Kindle. For people interested, there is a YouTube video (posted in today’s webinar about this book) of the Paso Doble dance that inspired the description of how the two MC, both secare, genetically enhanced to fight with living blades, achieved the “synchronized” ideal in their “dance” near the end of the book
I JUST figured out on Friday that HQ has books in KU. OMG! I've read 8 since then. I may never give KU up!!!
I was supposed to cancel my membership as I got a cheap trial but then they offered me another deal for 3mo. Hopefully I'll get an extension for Christmas!
Xtreme Ops (8 book series) Kindle Edition by Em Petrova (Author) has also been really good. book 8 is due out 1/24/22 each is a stand alone as well. eta I've read other series by this author and I've enjoyed all of them. Some issues with reality but entertainment is very high.
They will, I cancel at the end of each deal they offer and then they entice me back with a new one, may have to wait a month, some offers have been very good. For me it's worth even the full membership as I take advantage of the audiobooks linked to KU books, much cheaper than paying for a credit via audible. There are lot of good free listens if you borrow a book. Not sure about the US but Fated Blades mentioned above is whispersinced so can listen for free if you have KU.
And no Harlequin deals for us in Australia, maybe one day.
