I just added my favorite November book to my list, even though there are 12 days remaining in the month. Oh, goodness gracious me! Someone to Wed was wonderful! It may end up being my favorite book of 2017 ...
If anyone reading this is a historical romance fan, you need to read this book! Or if, as I saw posted somewhere recently, you have been disappointed by Mary Balogh's later books, please give this one a try. This is one book that I wish I could read for the first time all over again.

Woke up this morning with a terrific urge to lie in bed all day and read. - Raymond Carver

I have read a couple of really good books in the last couple of days. You know, the ones that you resent having to put down, even for half an hour to make supper.
Naked Edge by Pamela Clare. I read the first one in the series a long time ago, and enjoyed it, but wasn't overly enamoured with it. When this one got picked for me in a challenge, I decided to read it. (Sorry, series purists who are now having heart attacks: unless the series is about the same couple, and therefore should be read in order to understand all the nuances, I'm not that way. I go where I want to go within the series. The first book in the "Troublemakers" series by Suzanne Brockmann that I read was Into the Night (Book 6), and the next one I read was Breaking Point (Book 9). I still haven't read the first one in the series, yet.) Anyway, I digress. It was really, really good. The H, Gabe, was honourable and honest and such a good man. The h, Kat, definitely wasn't stupid, and she had integrity, too. The Coming Home Place. Why haven't I read Mary Spencer before, and why don't I have more of her books? This one hit me just right. Both h and H were doing the best that they could, and even though they talked a lot, they didn't seem to communicate. Somehow, though, since that usually bugs me immensely, it seemed like it was natural for their characters and for their situation.

I didn't start with book one in Pamela Clare's I-Team Series either. I started with book 5, Breaking Point. Then I read Kat and Gabe's story. It wasn't until after I read that that I decided to read the series in order. And I'm glad I did. It's one of my favorite series' ever.
I've read plenty of books out of order. Sometimes I only like one or two books in a series. Only if I'm really interested in a series, then I will go back and read it in order.
Thanks, big red dragon. My library has books 4 and 5 and that's it. But if it's not important to read them in order, I may try those two.
flipoid Naked Edge and Breaking Point are my most reread of the series. Like I mentioned in my earlier post, I read the series out of order, but the reason why I went back to read the whole series in order was a funny way. I had read Breaking Point and didn't read Naked Edge till more than a year later. When I read Naked Edge and Natalie was mentioned, I was like I have to read her story, not realizing that I had already. So I went back to read Breaking Point again. I absolutely love that book. All of Pamela's H's are great and would risk their lives for their h's. I've always thought that Breaking Point should be turned into a movie . It has enough action for guys and enough romance for the ladies. I hope you get to read and enjoy them. Maybe you'll even read the rest of the series.

Oh, I will definitely read Naked Edge (and Breaking Point, if I like Naked Edge); they're both available from the library. The others in the series will have to wait since I don't have money right now to spend on books.
