Born to be Bound (Alpha's Claim Book 1) -by Addison Cain - Free
This book fits this thread and I loved it BUT for those that need a safe book, it isn't safe. This book is part of a 3 book series about the same couple and book 3 is awful. I don't recommend reading book 3 unless you like to be upset.
****************spoikers******************
The H in this series is a very, very VERY controlling alpha. The h is an Omega. The setting is unclear as to the location but my impression was an alternate apocalyptic Earth. People live in bio-domes. The H was raised beneath the bio-dome where the criminals are. It's an awful place. The H had to learn to be brutal to survive. He has waged war against the gov of the bio-dome desiring to over take it and rule because of the wrongs that he has seen. He is considered the alpha of the alphas. The baddest of the bad.
The h is a sweet and virginal omega. Omegas are very desireable. They have a scent that makes an alpha to want to mate with them. Alpha's will fight other alphas to the death to have an omega to mate with and breed. Their hormones are such that they go "into heat" and Alpha's love it when this happens. It's non-stop sex with the female demanding the male take her and it can go on for days.
In the beginning of this book, the h goes to the alpha in disguise trying to hide she's an omega. She wears stinky, dirty clothes and is shrouded in layers of cloth. She also takes pills to hide her scent but what she doesn't realize is that the pills are a lie. They make her go into heat in a room full of alphas. The H gets one whif and bam! He has to have her! She's his. Period. She has zero say.
I loved the premise of this book and the sex was scorching but the H does things that will upset many. He gives h no choice. She's his and she doesn't want to be his but he doesn't care. He traps her in his room and waits for her hormones to take over. He knows she'll attack him if he waits. She's, of course, upset. The H also cheats and oh my freaking heck it's bad. Bad, bad bad. The h is broken from this betrayal and runs away. The angst was very real here and was rivioting for me. Book 2 deals with H trying to find her and get her back. I loved that his betrayal wasn't glossed over and the h didn't forgive him easily.
If you like OTT j/p controlling alphas and can handle a hero behaving badly, the first two books are good. Again, don't read book 3. I posted a review for book 3 with major ending spoilers on Amazon.
