I have a love/hate relationship with KA. Some of her books are outstanding and then others, I can't even get past the first few chapters. Plus, who and which books I seem to like are not favourites of others. I haven't read a new release of hers since Apollo, which was probably a couple of years ago. Still waiting on more from her Chaos series.
Yeah, I'm a bit the same. The ones that seem majority favourites - well either the book or the hero of (At Peace, Golden Dynasty, Motorcycle Man, Mystery Man, Knight, the Luke & Ava Rock Chick one) are in my most disliked book and hero list. And my absolute faves are kinda headed into the minority (Breathe, Games of the Heart, Sommersgate House, Ride Steady, The Will).
Banana Boat--I love them! My favorites are bk1 bk2 and bk7,but they are all good. And they are better if you read in order because each book kind of leads into the next and same characters in and out of each others story.
I really quite liked bk 2 and bk 7 was my fave of the series by far! Hmmm... Coincidence that the heroes are brothers? RC Regret is near my very top tier of all-time fave KAs.

Neeta...I liked all the books that you listed that your liked but I also loved Golden Dynasty (actually that whole series except for one), Motorcycle Man, Mystery Man and Knight.
I hated...loathed Joe Callahan from At Peace. Ugh, that book was horrid but I know I'm in the minority on that one. One book she wrote which I didn't even bother even reading the synopsis is the book she nicknamed her H Ham. OMG...are you kidding me??? Just no, a big fat NO!

Oh yeah, Joe - who will always be Pillocky McWanker for me. LOL. As for Ham? I never quite got how that became his nickname (and even less why she thought it a good one) - every Graham, or Graeme, I've ever come across has been abbreviated/nicknamed Gray. It's not even pronounced Gray-ham (and eww ick, that sounds like diseased meat. sorry) , the H sound is silent.

Gray-ham...diseased meat! Thanks you for the giggles!
I have the Rock Chic series in my ebook TBR pile. Are you enjoying it? Pleas let me know!. 🎃
I loved her Rock Chick series too. I didn't read them in order because I'm bad, lol. My favorite of the series was Rock Chick Regret. Be warned that the h is raped in this one. The reader does not read about the act itself but the immediate aftermath and it was riveting. The angst here was very good. (I wish it had continued longer but it was good.)
From the book page on the KA board on Goodreads: ----------------------------------------------------------
New series! Publication date, December 19, 2017!
Blurb: When the new girl in town, Eliza “Izzy” Forrester decides to hit the local drinking hole, she’s not ready to meet the town’s good, solid guy. She’s definitely not prepared to engage in her very first hookup with him.
Then Izzy wakes up the next morning in Johnny Gamble’s bed and good girl Izzy finds she likes being bad for Johnny.
Even so, Izzy feels Johnny holding her at arm’s length. But Johnny makes it clear he wants more and Izzy already knows she wants as much of hot-in-bed, sweet-out-of-it Johnny Gamble.
Floating on air thinking this is going somewhere, Izzy quickly learns why Johnny holds distant.
He’s in love with someone else. Someone who left him and did it leaving him broken. Whoever was up next would be runner up, second best. Knowing the stakes, Izzy will take what she can get from the gentleman that’s Johnny Gamble. And even knowing his heart might never mend, Johnny can’t seem to stay away from Izzy.
Until out of nowhere, his lost love comes back to town. He’s not going back, but Johnny still knows the right thing to do is let Izzy go.
And Izzy knew the stakes, so she makes it easy and slips though his fingers.
But that’s before Johnny realizes Eliza moved to town to escape danger that’s been swirling around her.
And that’s why Johnny decides to wade in.
That and the fact Eliza Forrester makes breakfast with a canary singing on her shoulder and fills out tight dresses in a way Johnny Gamble cannot get out of his head.
------------------------------------------------ So yeah, looks like some sort of triangle. Yuk.
Run Izzy!
Even though I am fairly certain he is going to figure out that Eliza doesn't deserve the pedestal he put her on and that Izzy is the one it sounds like a painful journey to get there. No thanks!
I have read almost all of the Kristen Ashley series (working on the paranormal stories, not interested in the Honey sub series). There are some that I have really loved, some were good, and others just ok. What I admire is that she can write so many different genres and that she's always publishing. It's been interesting to see how she has grown as an author. Even when a story is not my favorite, I still want to see how it ends. KA usually has great endings and epilogues that make it worth some of the not so wonderful stuff. I always look at what she will be publishing next. Her books can have some of the most irritating or the most fabulous characters, plots, or dialogues, but she keeps me coming back. KA has some annoying writing habits that often crop up like choppy alpha male speech, long separations, lack of groveling or apologies from males, ex-wives causing drama, and overly descriptive passages. But that doesn't stop me from reading because somehow she can write some of the most heartfelt, awe-inspiring, dreamy, sigh-worthy stuff that I have ever read in a romance. I have cried sad and happy tears when reading her books. I loved the Rock Chick series, especially Rock Chick Regret. Some others I enjoyed: Sweet Dreams, Games of the Heart, Three Wishes, Fairy Tale Come Alive, The Gamble, Soaring, The Will, Law Man, Lady Luck, Own the Wind
For me, even though KA's writing is not perfect and the heroine can get so annoying (Gwen, Rock Chicks).. at least she usually writes about older women and not young less than 25 years old poor things I think that's the one I like the most.. I hate super long separations though so I don't read her books with second chance or long term separations.

For the most part, I do like KA's writing. I can't haven't read her paranormal or honey series. The one paranormal I tried (The Golden Dynasty) was too hard for me to try to read for some reason. I haven't attempted to try another.
Magicrose99, I agree that The Golden Dynasty is a hard read and not for everyone. But if you like some magic in your stories, I highly recommend Three Wishes and Fairytale Come Alive. There is heavy angst and I cried, but the HEA is worth it. Three Wishes has a genie in it and a cute little girl and the h goes through some harsh times getting to her HEA. Fairytale Come Alive has the dead wife watching over the H and her children as a ghost who is helping the H fall for his first love again. Those elements might be triggers for some, but I really enjoyed how different and loving the books were.

Thanks, for the rec, Mrs. D! I'll look into those two books.
