Hi! Yes, a bit smoky here. It seemed worse yesterday though. I feel for those in the Santo Rosa area.
My husband's doing good. He's been doing "projects" around the house to see if and when he can put in a full days work. He has organized the garage (that about killed him with the dizzy spells, he was on the floor nearly as much as he was on his feet), he has organized our bedroom closet and yesterday was the file cabinet......😕 You would think this would be great but he can't do m much with out saying "Honey, do you know where this goes..?" or "......what this is?" and so forth . I hope he gets cleared for work soon! Lol
So what is everyone reading?? I've just started Against The Tide by Kat Martin. I have Jason Mania staring as the lead character Rafe Brodie. Yum So far so good.

My husband is on the phone as we speak with a friend who lives in Santa Rosa and was evacuated. He said its so miserable, hot, smoky and not sure if his house is even standing.
I hate it when my husband "cleans'" the cupboards or refrigerator. He tends to put the things I frequently use way in the back where its hard to reach and things that I never use up front. I'm so glad to hear your husband is doing good!! Its been a tough year for you guys but you did it!!
Sorry to hear about your friend, hope their boss is still standing at the end of this. So sad to see how much of Santa Rosa in burned. Stags Leap Winery , that has been around since the late 1800 has burned and so many other homes and businesses. Over 100 people unaccounted for...so sad.
That book you're reading looks good! I love a second chance romance, I had to download a sample. ☺ Please tell me you don't have to type all of that to add a link for a book......

magicrose99, What's the smoke level in Sacramento? How about you Noelle, smoky? The wind (North) came up about 8:15ish this morning and we are the smokiest we've ever been in 31 yrs. So thick looks like fog. Windows closed tight and very filtered sun.
Retired to read contacted me through email and don't know how to get on facebook. I tried to "talk" her through it, told her if she had any more questions to go ahead and contact me again, even gave her my phone number but didn't hear back from her. I'll look back through my "trash" in my emails and see if I can find it to let her know about this thread. Cinnamon Girl, Kestergale , Roses and Crystal have been told about this thread so we will be looking for them here as well.
It's extremely smoky here. I want to open my windows because it's the first day we have that's going to be in the 70's (oh how I have been waiting for this weather) but the house just smells like camp fire. I feel for all of those affected by the fires, too much to really complain about not being able to open my windows.

Maybe you could send Retired to Read the link for this forum, might be easier for her. I had our windows open early but ended up closing them when I could taste the smoke. I know, I feel so guilty complaining about the smoke, and it is horrible today, when I think about the people living in all of the fire areas.
