My husband told me yesterday that out Costco is only allowing the purchase of 3 fresh packages of meat per customer. ARGGGHH!
Really? Ugh. I haven't been there yet but will probably need to go next weekend or so. I don't really buy meat in bulk there though but if they're doing it then other stores will probably follow. When this first started my local store (O'Brien's) was limiting hamburger to one 2lb package per customer. I don't eat much hamburger but I do feed it to my dogs and usually buy 4 lbs at a time along with 8 lbs of cross rib roast for them , at the time I couldn't buy what I needed for them. Very aggravating. Lately I've been buying the pre pulled rotisserie chicken from Costco for them instead of hamburger ...I wonder if they'll limit that too? This week their getting ground lamb ...I like to change their protein every once in awhile.

You go to the Costco in Modesto, correct? We go to Turlock as it's much closer to our home. I wonder if the restriction is at all Costcos or Turlock alone. I do at times by bulk meat and then break it down as its a bit cheaper. Especially hamburger. I can do a million different things with hamburger and it freezes easily. Same with chicken.
The mention of rationing meat reminds me of this e-mail I got on Wednesday. The clip on YouTube was made on Monday, April 27, 2020. It’s troubling to me for sure. Why are we importing beef from overseas and destroying meat from American citizens at the same time. Makes no sense. Anyway, I’ve not seen this anywhere on the media.

Because being creatures of habit; we don't do well at changing the processes in place...it costs too much (for the fellas that decide this) and it's just not easy to do. Flexible we ain't! I'd be happier if we'd quit putting antibiotics in the food anyway; it's affecting how well the antibiotics help us when needed because we're getting them in steady dosage thru the foods so when we need them; either they don't help at all or we need a massive dose to do the work needed.
Well, I finally finished weeding the Stephanie Laurens...but I've not finished rereading in there yet (snicker). I discovered that I had 2 titles in pbk that I'd not purchased yet in ebk format. I quit buying the pbk format after the 3rd Cynster's Next Generation title (Scandal's & Catriona's boy Marcus). I said to heck with it & bought those two in ebk format & put the pbks in the bags for wherever they're going when folks start accepting again. I did keep the 1st 7 titles in the Cynsters & #9 (Wicked Dawn) as well as Mastered by Love from the Bastion Club. Oh & Season for Scandal which includes 2 of her early titles: Tangled Reins & Fair Juno. So if I feel the need for a quick dip into Laurens while the Kindles are charging...or not within reach...or I need a pbk with me somewhere; I have an assortment available!
I wonder which author I might move to next...I've done Feehan, Garlock, Gracie, Ashley, Balogh; the Laurens made the biggest dent. Should I move into my Krentz/Quick/Castle shelves...I don't know that I can do that one yet...
I got the new book Kristen Ashley published during the quarantine. Free on her site for Kindle and other e-readers. Here's the link in case anyone wants it. I am excited for her new series, River Rain. After the Climb by Kristen Ashley
Is anyone getting comfortable with their Covid-19 hair? Maybe you have it colored, cut or permed every so often but for the past 6-8 weeks haven't been able to. Me, I'm over due for a perm and will, once it grows out a bit more and the salons open up, probably get one. However, I'm starting to get comfortable to my hair being straight. I've been perming my hair since 1976 so leaving it straight is strange. I really am getting use to it. Would save myself time and money. How about you?

I haven't coloured my hair in years but every once in a while will get a purple streak - I'm thinking about doing that at my next appointment (June 9th).
Be careful what you wish for, it might just come true.
I used to just have my hair colored about once a year but stopped when my husband was diagnosed in 2017. Then just at the end of last year (November) I had it done again. I'm a natural blond with red mixed in and as the years have gone on I didn't get grey hair but it did turn a darker brown/red so I like to return it to my blonde, makes me feel more like myself. Anyway this year I had decided to keep it up rather than do it once a year and had it done again on Feb 14th. So at this point it doesn't look too bad but my roots are definitely not blond (not white either lol ☺) but Imn7sed to the look of it growing out. I'm more upset with the state of my nails 😣 I can't wait for the nail salons to open back up. Lol

Now I'm a medium to dark blonde with a bit of gray that actually looks blonde in the sun. At my age I don't mind having gray mixed in and I'm too lazy to color it. When I was a teenager I'd spray, if I remember correctly, a product called Sun In on my hair then sit in the sun. It would create blonde streaks. Wow, that's a blast from the past. When my grandmother passed away (94 yrs old) and my mom (74 yrs old) they were both mostly still blonde. Both my brother and myself have inherited this trait.
I've been a dishwater blonde most of my life; getting the silvery gray in there has actually brightened my hair color! I've never colored it because I get about 3 perms a year; figure one batch of chemicals is enough; don't add the dye to it! I got a perm March 9th so just a bit before the lock-downs started. I'm coming up due for what would usually be my 2nd cut & it's getting a bit long & shaggy! Starting to pull the perm out as the hair is pretty fine, so length isn't a good thing! Plus it's hanging down in the eyes. I may have to do a bit of trim (and wait for Trina to chew me out--or envision that scene between her & Eve!) The Gov. has said the salons can start opening on Friday 5/15 if they want; my stylist called a bit ago; do I want to come if she does start cutting hair again? She says she keeps flipping about starting; feels like it's too soon. I told her yes, if she does start, give me a call & we'll schedule. Will wear face mask, whatever they need. So maybe I'll get a cut in before the next perm! I normally get 3 cuts in between perms...
