I remember Sun In! I also had tried to use lemons in the same was as the Sun In to try and get the red out.lmao! Boy was that uncomfortable and it didn't work. I also used to get perms, mohair was pencil straight when I was young so, as a teenager I would perm it. After my first daughter was born when I was 19 my hair started to get wavy. After each child it became more so and now it's pretty curly. Definitely don't need a perm any more but I do straighten it. Lol
I don't mind having grey hair, I know there is a few in there but you just can't see them. My hair is thin but I have a lot of it and the ones that are grey are the same, thin and not thick or curlier than the rest of my hair so I'm sure that helps them blend in.

I used lemon juice, too then graduated to Sun In. Like you (in your earlier years) my hair is fine and straight but quite a bit of it. My father had very wavy dark brown hair. My brother and I ended up with Mom's blonde straight fine hair. Such is life. How about your girls, what color and type of hair did they get? By the way, how is your granddaughter?

Both of my parents had dark brown hair, dad's was straight and my mother's is curly. Not sure where my blondish red came from. Lol My husband has dark brown wavy hair , our oldest and youngest are blonde but both darkened like mine as they reached adulthood and our middle daughter got the dark brown hair. She also got the olive skin tone where our other two got my Scandinavian white tone. Lol
My granddaughter is doing well, happy and healthy, thank goodness. We still haven't seen them but I do get to see the videos he posts and I do talk on the phone with my daughter so I know they're doing good. I hope that they get through this pandemic still believing that it's nothing because that would mean they've remained untouched by it.
kc I am posting a Brad Mondo link, on how to cut your own bangs and not ruin them. If you're going to take that risk, hope the video helps. GOOD LUCK! Guide to cutting bangs
Thanks, linviolet, but I think I'm going to make it; hopefully I'll get a haircut in the next week or so. I can survive that long (with a little hair gel to help with keeping those bangs contained!) Whew!!!
ETA: thanks for the video opportunities, BB, hopefully I'll have better luck when I try again later. Only one that I saw any critters; the kittens are all sleeping--adorably, but still... All the others, nobody to watch. Ah well, better luck next time, right?

Me too! He's taught me quite a bit about bleaching. Never do it yourself, and leave it to the professionals.
Exactly! Lol That and that then ends of your hair are more porous so start at the roots first. Not that I ever plan to do my hair myself. I have learned the hard way to leave it to professionals. Hahaha
Do they actually think anyone is going to pay $814.57 for a pb book when you can get the kindle version for $4.99???
That's crazy! Especially when there is a cheap kindle version. Lol I remember back in the Amazon Communities days when I would look up a book that was mentioned and the prices for the used books were crazy high. I was always thinking "who would pay that much...." and that was before the kindle books. I think the highest I paid for a used book was $30 . That was for Stormfire and I just HAD to have it because everyone kept talking about it. Lol

LOL! tough choice. It's probably so readers buy the e-book version. Or maybe the published version is printed on some sort of special paper with real gold ink. And a few other special bits for it to cost so much.
